Not knowing where consciousness comes from is not, by itself, a reason to stop careful description of practice architecture.

A fair early challenge: if you can’t say where consciousness comes from, how can you build anything rigorous on it?
My methodological position is that this is not disqualifying. Fundamental domains routinely have no derivable origin. Inquiry proceeds within them rather than waiting to defend them from outside.
I treat “the ground” as a primitive within which the work proceeds, not a hypothesis I claim to prove. You are free to reject that position. If you do, much of what follows will look like scaffolding without a foundation — and that is a legitimate reading.
