Lineage & release history
Sanatan is not one static system. It is a discipline that has shipped successive release versions as substrate conditions changed — each preserving the engineering intent while changing the delivery architecture. This table is a systems reading, not a ranking of traditions.
| Era | System | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Vedic | Yajna, mantra, samhita ritual | Very high threshold |
| Upanishadic | Jnana, atma-vichara, sannyasa | High threshold |
| Tantric | Mantra, yantra, nyasa, diksha, body as instrument | Medium threshold (via diksha) |
| Tantric forks | Aghora, Kaula, Krama, Kalikula, Srikula, Nath, Hatha | Variable |
| Bhakti | Devotional, emotional, narrative | Low threshold |
| Naam Jaap | Repetition of the divine Name | Lowest possible |
| Candidate v3.0 | SAE-1.4, Kamakhya Kernel, Spirit OS | TBD |
Closing note (v0.7): Sanatan is ahead of its time on the time axis — not above other traditions. Each release addressed the conditions of its era. Candidate v3.0 (SAE-1.4 + Kamakhya Kernel) is offered for pressure-testing, not as a replacement for lineage and practice.
