Model — Sanatan Awareness Equation (SAE-1.4)

Try the interactive Workbench →

A directional model for access to awareness — not deterministic physics, not metaphysical proof

⚠️ Prerequisites

This page introduces the SAE-1.4 equation with mathematical notation. If you haven't read Foundations yet, start there to understand the core variables (Consciousness, Awareness, Blockers) before diving into the mathematical model.

This is a directional model, not metaphysical proof. SAE-1.4 translates Sanatan vocabulary into systems language to help identify bottlenecks, track variables, and observe patterns in awareness-access stability over time. It models access to consciousness through your filters — never consciousness itself.

System Architecture

The Sanatan Awareness System (SAE) architecture shows how core components interact:

SAE-1.4 — Canonical Equation

Core equation:
Awarenessraw(t)=Belieftotal(t)times[CBlockers(t)+Purity(t)+Shaktieffective(t)]+varepsilongrace(t)Awareness_{raw}(t) = Belief_{total}(t) \\times [C - Blockers(t) + Purity(t) + Shakti_{effective}(t)] + \\varepsilon_{grace}(t)
(2.1)
Coherence gate:
Belieftotal(t)=min(B1(t),B2(t)),quadin[1,+1]Belief_{total}(t) = \\min(B1(t), B2(t)), \\quad \\in [-1, +1]
(2.2)

C = 1.0 (humans), invariant — a modeling convention, not a measurement of Ātman. Belief_total can go negative (the inversion regime). For UI, raw is mapped to AwarenessIndex = 50 + 50·tanh(raw/1.5).

See detailed equation breakdown for variable definitions, the validation status, and what the model does NOT claim.

Equation Control Flow

The awareness equation processes inputs through a series of operations:

Adjust variables below to see how they affect the awareness equation in real-time:

C is fixed at 1.0 (a modeling convention, not a measurement of Ātman). Belief_total is the weak-link gate min(B1, B2): turn either dial negative and the whole field inverts.

How to use SAE (safe workflow)

  1. Observe: Notice your awareness state in real situations (reactivity, clarity, responsiveness).
  2. Serialize: Record state as Awareness JSON (see template) at regular intervals (daily or weekly).
  3. Choose lever: Identify which variable you can influence (see variables) and make small, non-prescriptive adjustments (sleep, boundaries, stress reduction).
  4. Track over time: Observe patterns across multiple serialized states; notice what correlates with stability vs reactivity.

When to Use Differential vs Integration in the Awareness Equation

1️⃣ Differential Mode — For "Right Now"

d(Awareness) / dt

Use differential when:

  • You want to know today's Awareness momentum.
  • You want to detect real-time shifts in Blockers or Shakti.
  • You want to know if you are improving or declining in the moment.
  • HOPE is doing daily/hourly monitoring and micro-corrections.

Differential = present direction.

2️⃣ Integral Mode — For 6-month or 1-year Forecasts

Awareness(t2) = ∫ from t1 to t2 [ d(Awareness)/dt ] dt

Use integration when:

  • You want medium or long-term prediction.
  • You want to see cumulative purification.
  • You want to measure total Blocker dissolution over time.
  • You want to plan 6 months of HOPE routines and lifestyle.
  • You want to evaluate the effect of Saturn, Rahu, and Dasha phases on trajectory.

Integral = long-term destination.

Key constraints (SAE-1.4)

  • Belief is a coherence gate: Belief_total = min(B1, B2), the weak-link of Orientation and Surrender, ∈ [−1, +1]. The phrase "gain coefficient" is retired.
  • Inversion regime: a negative Belief_total inverts the whole bracket — it means coherence organized against growth, never "less consciousness."
  • Capacity clamp + fairness invariant: Shakti_effective = strength × stability × max(0, 1 − physical − mental constraint). Constraint reduces expression, never the Witness.
  • C = 1.0, invariant: a normalization convention, not a measurement of Ātman.
  • Grace is an additive residual: εgrace; not computed (timing, breakthroughs, surrender). Display bounding via AwarenessIndex (tanh), not core clipping.
  • Directional, not deterministic: a self-tracking map, not invertible physics or prophecy.

Validation status (honest)

SAE-1.4 is structurally tested (5,000-trial invariants pass) and empirically pre-validated on honest synthetic data (out-of-sample R² ≈ 0.90 vs ≈ 0.16 best baseline), including one pre-registered hypothesis that failed and is shown openly ("purity → fewer future blockers," β ≈ 0, p ≈ 0.91).

It has not been validated against real human data. Synthetic ≠ real-consciousness validation; structural tests ≠ empirical validation. Confidence and caveat travel together.

Reproducible evidence and code live in SAE14_analysis/. See the full validation status →

Scope note (short)

This model is a hypothesis, not doctrine. It's designed to be pressure-tested, criticized, and refined. It does not replace therapy, medical care, or qualified guidance. If you experience significant distress, seek professional support.
